December 12, 2025 admin 0 Comments

The Maff Network is proud to announce a significant milestone in the ongoing effort to strengthen the justice sector in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. As an integral partner in the “Enhancing the Rule of Law in Iraq” project, the Maff Network actively contributed to the launch conference held on December 10, 2025, where two crucial research reports were officially unveiled.

This pivotal project is implemented by the Investigator Organization (IOL) in collaboration with the Maff Network and  (NPA), and is made possible through the generous financial support of the European Union (EU).

The conference, which marked the culmination of extensive joint research, brought together a diverse group of experts, representatives from key governmental institutions, and leading non-governmental organizations to discuss the findings.

Spotlight on the Newly Released Reports:

  1. “Report on Standards and Best Practices for Fair Trial in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region – 2025”

    • This comprehensive report details the international standards required to ensure a truly fair trial. It provides a detailed analysis of global best practices and proposes practical strategies for their effective adoption within the specific legal and social context of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

  2. “Second Monitoring Report on the State of the Rule of Law in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region – 2025”

    • Following up on the foundation laid by the inaugural 2024 report, this second monitoring report offers a critical and timely assessment of the progress achieved and the persistent challenges facing the Rule of Law landscape across Iraq and Kurdistan.

The Maff Network remains committed to supporting the Investigator Organization’s dedication to high-quality research and looks forward to utilizing these reports as key advocacy tools.
